To all my followers who are worried about school and life:
- I almost failed math three times in junior high / high school
- I never passed any AP exams
- My SAT scores were mediocre
- I was four different majors in college and still didn’t figure out what I wanted to do until I was about 26
Currently:
- I have a Masters and am working on a second
- I have a job I like in a field I love
- I am conversational in Japanese
- I am aiming to save all the homeless queer youths in NYC
In short:
- It is okay if you don’t know what you want to do right now
- You will figure it out
- Sometimes a random job will lead to a career
- Sometimes you will only work jobs and never have a career– THAT IS FINE
- In the long run, no one cares about your GPA
- A good resume is important!!
- You will be okay, I promise
lazy mediocre bum rule number one: be best friends with your teachers, when you fuck up big time they’ll low key help you out more than they should
whenever i find out an idol was born the same year as me that means we have 2 fight
Now before you laugh at someone’s english just remember that they’re learning a foreign language to communicate with you while you’re not even lifting a finger. I would appreciate it if you helped non-english speakers instead of making things even harder than they are for us *drops mic and walks off stage*
My prayers go out to all of the Muslims who have committed suicide and their families act as if they didn’t see it coming. My arms are open to all of those who are Muslims and suffer from suicide thoughts while their families response is that they need more religion. My hands hold on to all the Muslims who have attempted suicide and their family locked them away.
Mental health isn’t neglected in Islam, but it is neglected in certain cultures. Religion can heal, but culture can destroy. Your families do not understand. But I do my love, I do.
